Intruder Alarms

Having a burglar/intruder alarm system is statistically the best means of protecting your home against thieves. Burglars look for the easy option, and visible alarm systems make burglars think twice.


At JCA Security we know how important it is to feel safe in your home, and many of our clients have told us over the last 30 years how much comfort and peace of mind having a quality alarm gives them.  An alarm system provides a visible deterrent (via the outside siren) plus an audible one if the alarm is triggered.

We offer free of charge, no obligation surveys and quotations for the installation of new systems and the replacement, upgrading or maintenance of existing ones.

JCA Security covers all of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.  

Don’t worry if you have pets, we can usually install pet detectors to ensure no false alarms when they are in the house alone.


We recommend a range of intruder alarms (see below) all high quality and easy to operate.  Most people prefer wire free detectors (particularly for tiled or hardwood floors) with key fobs as well as keypads for easy setting/unsetting.  It’s also possible to link these to a smartphone, PC or tablet so that you can monitor the alarm remotely.  Alternatively, as an SSAIB approved installer, we can connect your alarm to an alarm receiving centre (ARC), and they can contact keyholders and appropriate authorities if there is an alarm activation.  Smoke detectors can also be fitted and linked to your alarm.


Servicing:  -  We recommend an annual service contract, so you can ensure your alarm system is kept in good working order, ensuring it lasts you for many years.  Furthermore, many home insurers offer a discount if you have an alarm that is serviced regularly.


There is a 24-hour call out service for customers whose alarms are serviced annually.

CCTV Systems & Ring Doorbell

The use of CCTV has become increasingly popular for private dwellings, and JCA can offer a solution for your needs, whatever they are, and supply:


  • High definition, full colour 1080p cameras in white or gunmetal grey

  • Hikvision digital video recorders (DVRs) ranging from 1-4 TB hard disk drives, allowing real-time and limited historic data retention.

  • Flat screen HD monitor to be located in a convenient place, or customer’s own HD television with spare HDMI input, to show real-time and recorded footage.

  • Integral power supply unit


It is also possible to link these to a smartphone, PC or tablet so that you can monitor the alarm remotely.  This is done via the Hikvision/Pyronix app.

With a Ring video doorbell at your door you can monitor your home from your smartphone, tablet or PC.  Your Ring device features a wide-angle lens and built-in microphone and speaker, enabling you to see, hear and speak to anyone at your door wherever you are.  You can also add a Ring floodlight, motion-activated camera or have this as a stand-alone item.


All Ring services will require a broadband connection.

Upgrades, Maintenance & Security Lighting

If your current alarm system is not working, we will be happy to repair if that can be done cost-effectively.  However, you may simply decide to upgrade your system to a more modern, wirefree model which, if you choose, can also be linked to your smart device.  

External lighting can be used for a variety of purposes: courtesy lighting, enhancement to CCTV systems, stand-alone floodlighting, perimeter lighting.

We can fit a range of LED style lights which can be either switch operated or movement detection operated.
